Having the privilege of
being raised on the farm in southeastern Minnesota for over 20
years and family ranching in Montana for over 13 years, work and
play have been plentyful. There is nothing better for a man than
to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good.
This also I have seen that it is from the hand of God. For who
can eat and who can have enjoyment without Him? There is an
appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every
event under heaven - a time to give birth and a time to die; a
time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. He has made
everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in
their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which
God has done from the beginning even to the end. People
are of far higher worth than animals and land. So also it is
written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last
Adam became a life-giving spirit.
( selected Scripture quoted - NASB ) Public school graduate with honors which included participation in student council and sports, lettering in football and basketball. Minnesota High School language student 14 day trip to West Germany ( my grandfather emigrated from Nurnberg before WW1 ). Attended the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology and Agriculture 2 years before moving to Montana. Minnesota farming involved corn, alfalfa, cattle and horse shows as well as snowmobile racing all winter. Montana
ranching involved beef cattle production, alfalfa, wheat and
barley. And installation of wheel line and pivot irrigation
systems. |
